In this role, you will provide I&C system integration expertise across multiple disciplines in the design of a comprehensive, integrated plant I&C and distributed control system design.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with plant system design teams and other subsystem vendors to ensure complete system integration across multiple design disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.). Apply knowledge of current regulatory guides and industry standards with regard to I&C aspects and its interfaces with other systems and distributed control system architectures. Create Technical Requirement Specification sand Procedures; design specifications for instrumentation and control system (I&C) hardware/software, HFE/HMI Requirements, and NSSS System Interface Specifications. Develop, review, and integrate simulation logic and procedures for controls verification and validation.
BS Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, controls, or nuclear).
An advanced degree may be substituted for related experience (MS 1-2 yrs. or PhD 1-3 yrs.).
8 or more years in system design and implementation and/or operations and maintenance in the power generation industry related but not limited to the Balance of Plant, Boiler combustion, steam/gas turbine generators, and nuclear reactors.
5 or more years in commercial nuclear power design, system engineering, or operation and maintenance.
Experience interpreting/preparing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Strong organizational/project execution skills and prior success in working with or leading multi-disciplined, cross-functional teams.
