Uni-Pixel is currently recruiting for an Application / Systems Programmer to join our team.
Design, enhance and implement new and existing software applications in support of software project and maintenance goals.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
Communicate with other departments regarding application issues.
Responsible for researching and evaluating new application technologies.
Meet with internal customers to gather requirements and flesh out scope of work and deliverables.
A minimum of an AA or Bachelors degree (BS) in computer science or related discipline.
Minimum of 5+ years of related application / systems programming experience in a Unix/Linux operating systems and applications environment using C, C++.
Preference for individuals who:
Know the basics of the QT4 framework, have embedded hardware programming experience, have additional programming languages such as Python, Perl, PHP, and or Java.
Know when and how to use TCP and UDP and have experience writing code for distributing parallel tasks across multiple computers.
Have basic Database Skills (Like mysql, postgresql, sqlite).
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, with a solid understanding of the English language to enable effective communication with Uni-Pixel and its partners.
Efficiency working with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are required.
