The Switches, Aerospace & Defense Business Unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST) is looking to recruit for its brand Crouzet, a specialist in Snap Action switches, Electronic Detection, Electrical Protection and Cockpit Control Equipment for the Aerospace, Energy and Infrastructures, Commercial and Industrial OEM's and Transportation markets.
Summary
The Switches, Aerospace & Defense Business Unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST) is composed of an Industry and Aerospace sales team. This position is for the Industry sales team.
Locate, pursue and develop sales opportunities for the Switches and Sensors division under the direction of the North American Sales Manager for Switches and Sensors. The Regional Sales Manager covers the Midwest territory (IL, WI, ND, SD, MN, MO, OH, KY, TN, IO, and MI). The Regional Sales Manager primarily focus will be to grow Crouzet Switches and Sensors market shares significantly as well as to address and service the needs of established accounts. This is a "work from home" position and the RSM is responsible for having an office in their home. Successful candidates should have a track record of being able to work unsupervised. Approximately 60% travel is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Prospecting and developing new sales opportunities
Target A, B and C accounts by present and potential dollars of revenue / profits, cost to sell and probability of success
Lead the pre-sales technical discussions to convert customer requirements into accurate and detailed specifications during the proposal phase

Manage the full spectrum of sales: from prospecting, quotation through to post-sales service

Work directly with all the customer "stakeholders" to translate customer requirements into product / market specifications for Crouzet products

Price negotiation, managing and tracking special prices, and revenue versus quoted quantities

Sales and channel training and readiness-recruiting Crouzet advocates

Track record of turning cold contacts into new accounts

Strong project management skills: analyzing, planning, securing and managing resources

Effective negotiation skills with ability to 'sell-up. Able to negotiate beyond price, and explain the core value of Crouzet offerings in terms of the basic value the customer will receive

Exceptional time management skills-spends the appropriate time on issues or with particular customers and prioritizes based on return to Crouzet

Technical skills: can effectively promote and field technical questions on all Crouzet products at Level 1 and 2 to Engineers, Managers, and users

Excellent organizational/multi-tasking skills; high level of customer focus, self-managed and able to prioritize with little supervision

Strong Team Player- enthusiastically participates as a member of a small but dynamic group; meets deadlines, accommodates shifting priorities.

Positively contributes to the team environment.

Position Requirements:A successful candidate must have:
  • Bachelors Degree and or Technical Certificate required, preferably in electro-mechanical field
  • 1 to 3 years in direct sales
  • Direct sales experience to OEMs for a manufacturer is a must
  • Channel management experience is a plus
Because this position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a 'U.S. person' as defined in the ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must: (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident (i.e., 'green card holder') of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, provided that you have applied for naturalization within six months of the date you first became eligible, and if not yet accepted, you are actively pursuing naturalization after two years from the date of your application.
