The Registered Nurse Manager I (RN Clinician B) is responsible for coordinating and the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) in accordance with Federal Regulations. Development of care planning to help promote optimal wellness on the wellness/illness continuum. Assist to ensure the implementation, maintenance and evaluation of policies, programs and services consistent with regulatory standards, the philosophy and objectives of ESH Department of Nursing and the organization's mission, goals and objectives.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Previous professional nursing experience in mental health, medical, adult and geropsychiatric setting; experience in leadership or management preferred. Experience in the completion and submission of the electronic Minimum Data Set (MDS) and other CMS forms.
Knowledge, of biopsychosocial and spiritual needs of the geropsychiatric patient; good clinical knowledge and skills to assess and develop patient care plans with completion of the Minimum Data Set in accordance with Federal Regulations. Knowledge of CMS and Joint Commission Regulations. Demonstrate the ability to coordinate, delegate, communicate and problem solve in the supervision and evaluation of both patient care issues and staff performance; ability to instruct and train patients and staff. Complete and maintain current CPR, TOVA, and other annual mandatory training. Proficient in the knowledge and use of electronic health records.
