Under the clinical direction of the Chairman, Department of Medicine, the CRNP is responsible for the on-site coverage of inpatients who are admitted to non-house staff-covered services. Admissions include the General Medicine Floors and non-assigned Critical Care Patients admitted and held in the Emergency Trauma Center. Primary responsibility for those patients will remain with the community-based or hospital physician. The CRNP diagnoses medical conditions, plans and implements interventions, and evaluates patient responses in collaboration with the attending physician for patients ranging in age from adulthood through late adulthood.
3+ years of general medical nursing experience.
Master's degree in Nursing and Certificate from Nurse Practitioner Program required.
Current licensure as a CRNP in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required.
Pursues learning opportunities in order to maintain certification.
Valid driver's license.
Maintains good communication with hospital personnel and physicians regarding issues of practice and role.
Ability to work in multiple geographic locations and keep within the schedule.
