Must be able to read, interpret and have working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, and take action necessary to conform with the specifications of such blueprints.
Must keep the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor informed regarding all work-related conditions.
Must be capable of receiving, understanding and carrying out instructions, using independent actions and judgement.
Will be expected to utilize his/her skills and abilities in other areas of the plant as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.
Must have the ability to work in a team concept environment with nominal supervision.
Must work in a safe and efficient manner to complete job assignments.
Will be required to perform maintenance on electric and electronic equipment to include process control instrumentation.
Must perform electronic and electrical construction on proto-type equipment and modifications of existing equipment.
Will be required to use power and hand tools, as well as, electronic test equipment (volt-ohm-milliamp meter, oscilloscope, digital multimeter, etc.)
Will be required to set up and monitor preventive maintenance program.
May be required to start up and shut down furnaces.
Will be required to perform safety inspections
Must be capable of performing press inspections for mechanical defects and follow up as necessary
Must have working knowledge and understanding of machine and equipment to include (PLC’s) Programmable Logic Controls.
Must be willing to attend seminars, technical schools, and vocational schools to broaden and improve job skills in related field.
