Human Resources Manager/Leader (TEMP TO PERM)
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
The Human Resources Manager/Leader will be responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of Human Resources and demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for a multi-shift manufacturing plant in Fremont, CA, and a small R&D office in Southern CA. In this role, you will solve problems, develop and execute functional and site objectives, and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals. The HR leader will be instrumental in executing transition activities resulting from the plant recently being acquired. The HR Leader will also be responsible for the administrative requirements of the function.
Lead site HR activities to policies, annual performance reviews, organization structure development, job design, staffing, compensation, compliance, and organization change/effectiveness
Provide leadership for the development and execution of organization vision and structure, including development and execution of a communication plan to ensure that effective two-way communication takes place
Provide advice and counsel to management and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices
Assure that appropriate training opportunities are provided to employees to further their personal, career, and organizational development
Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, employee engagement while acting as an employee advocate
Identify recruiting needs, develop sources of qualified candidates; facilitate screening, testing and selection of applicants with management
Responsible for investigation, conflict resolution, employee communications and management coaching
Responsible for administration of benefits, payroll processing, leave of absences, onboarding, terminations, HRIS transactions, compliance, recordkeeping, and other HR-related transactional duties
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred (MHR, MILR, MBA)
Proficiency with PC and HRIS applications required
Strong oral and written skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple task and projects simultaneously
Strong knowledge of California labor and wage & hour laws
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
