We are working with a strong financial services organization in the Dallas / Fort Worth Marketplace that is looking to hire a savvy Chief Accounting Officer.
Our firm specializes specifically in banking, placing CFO’s, Chief Accounting Officers, Controllers, Treasurers, etc. in Community and Small Regional Banks Nationwide.
For that reason, our client will only consider candidates with ALL of the requisite skill sets for the job.
If you are an Accounting and Finance Professional and have 10+ years of experience either in a Public Accounting Firm auditing Large Community and Small Regional Banks or have been an Assistant Controller, Controller, or Accounting Policy Manager in a publicly traded financial services setting this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
Our client is a billion dollar plus financial services organization with multiple business lines that due to a well thought out corporate strategy has positioned themselves as an ‘up and comer’ in the banking industry over the past several years.
As multiple strategic initiatives continue to be achieved in the months and years to come, they will begin to be on everyone’s radar due to the impressive bench strength they possess, the creative growth plans they are implementing, and the building of infrastructure to support long term growth.
Our client is not leaning on an ‘assimilation’ strategy to build their brand, they are leaning on a ‘high touch’ approach and are focusing on organic growth through both customer service and de novo branching.
They have added several key team members from competitor banks onto their team and this Chief Accounting Officer role will be no different.
You will report to a top notch CFO, with a solid team of managers as your direct reports.
You as the Chief Accounting Officer need to be a collaborative team builder, that ‘eats and breathes’ FASB’s, and, in general, loves accounting policy.
They are building a best in class Accounting operation and you will be driving it.
Key drivers to success in this role includes possessing a CPA, Public Accounting experience (working with banks), strong knowledge of US GAAP, Accounting Policy (researching and applying), SEC Regulatory Reporting and Filing (10K’s, 10Q’s 8K’s, etc.), SOX 404, streamlining month end close, and experience supervising and developing a high performing, cohesive staff.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong presentation skills, decisiveness, a track record of ‘staying power’ and attention to detail.
Daily interface with Executive Management is part of this role and having the poise, the polish, and professionalism to handle that spotlight is a ‘must have’ as well.
We have been respectfully asked by our client to only submit professionals with a CPA, strong SEC Reporting Experience, and Banking experience.
If you meet these criteria; please inquire in confidence.
We look forward to speaking with you.
