Job Description:
Phillips 66 Company has an opening for an E-Gas Technology Development Engineer in Houston, Texas to work in support of the E-Gas Technology business goals, provide feedstock characterization services and recommendations on process conditions for Process Design Packages and feasibility studies. Requires a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering and 2 years of related gasification experience. Related experience must include experience utilizing computational fluid dynamics to analyze gasification systems including the mechanism and models for predicting slag and ash behavior in the gasification reactors and downstream equipment; developing engineering solutions to minimize ash deposition at operating gasification facilities; applying analytical methods to characterize coal for design of gasification facilities; and working experience in laboratory bench scale experiments or pilot plant operations and be able to manage projects that include bench scale or pilot scale trials. Must be willing to travel 25% of time.
