We are seeking a Coordinator-Material Supplies to join out team of dedicated professionals as we continue our mission of improving the health of the communities we serve.

Job Description

This position is responsible, under the direction of the Unit Director, for inventory maintenance and control and assists in minimizing the total cost of procedures performed in the department.

Other responsibilities include:
· Create and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with vendors, materials management, and purchasing.
· Create and control product and supply ordering.
· Maintain, update and initiate SIM file and sub-account items
· Acts as resource for department staff regarding product and inventory maintenance.
· Computer skills: Utilizes computer systems effectively as appropriate to the area.
· Appropriate use of the Internet and Intranet,
· Reconciles and resolves entry/issue errors.
· Maintain levels of supplies and equipment to meet organizational needs by replenishment of on-hand supply quantities to established reorder points or on an as needed basis.
· Coordinates daily department operations to ensure completion of all delivery replenishment and charging activities.
· Generates purchase orders and returns with hospital and vendors via telephone, fax or EDI.
· Cycle counts inventory to ensure accurate computer system on-hand quantities .
Qualifications

Candidates will possess equivalent to two years of college, an associate degree, two years of purchasing support, two years relevant hospital experience, or two years of materials management experience. Inventory control experience with purchasing experience is desirable .
· Must be functionally familiar with inventory terminology and applications.
· Knowledge of and experience in computer systems and computerized inventory control systems.
· Knowledge of health care related products and their purpose or use.
· Experience in computerized inventory control systems including electronic data interfacing (EDI).
· Knowledge of healthcare related products, their purpose and use.
· Must be in excellent physical condition and capable of lifting a minimum of 70 pounds and able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
Knowledge of inventory terminology and ability to interpret reports
