Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist with the preparation of expense forecast and analysis for the Research Division
Prepare and distribute monthly departmental expense analysis reports and provide department managers with explanations of key variances.
Assume liaison role with functional department managers, providing analysis and support during financial review process with management.
Assist with monthly general ledger closing. Prepare journal entries in support of required accruals, reclassifications or other adjustments resulting from monthly review of operations.
Assist in implementation of new systems and procedures.
Assist in training non-financial clients in accounting and control methodology.
In addition to specific responsibilities supporting Research, this position will coordinate and perform general departmental duties such as head count reporting and systems reconciliation.
1 – 3 years of Accounting/Finance experience. Proficiency with Excel. Experience with integrated accounting software helpful. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills B.S. Accounting or Finance, with minimum of 1-3 years experience
