IS Manager Hinsdale(Job Number 126048) Thankyou for considering a position with AHS Information Services Below you will find some information regarding job specifics and requirements for this position In addition to the details below please know that we are looking for someone to join our team and to invest creativity experience and positive energy into this role In return we want to invest in YOU At AHS Information Services we offer job growth opportunities a whole person approach to wellness and healthy living energetic and knowledgeable team members caring managers and a senior leadership team that is passionate about their calling to provide high quality safety focused patient care through compassionate and excellent healthcare business and IT professionals If this sounds you keep reading You may also be interested to know that we were selected as one of the top 100 best places to work in IT by ComputerWorld Magazine in 2011 and Adventist Health System has been selected as a recipient of the Gallup Great Workplace award for 2011 and 2012 Description Directs all information services activities within a designated facility Provides direct supervision for facility technical staff and responsible for the successful implementation of all information services initiatives Interfaces and communicates with facility administration to provide support for business initiatives and to insure customer satisfaction levels Responsible for establishing and monitoring project work plans implementing effective workflows and processes Evaluates business problems identifies and resolves issues Assists in the evaluation of enduser computing packages and equipment as well as in the implementation and testing of prototypes Consults with client and staff regarding PC and LAN systems equipment problems or malfunctions and recommends solutions Responsible for creating accurate and timely information reports and records Will administer all duties in accordance with established policies procedures and standards This position requires an individual who is an excellent communicator and is comfortable interfacing with physicians leadership clinical and technical staff While not a technical handson position the candidate must be highly technical An exceptional leader is required who is able to focus on the issues at hand Strong project management skills are needed Requirements BS degree in computer since or related field is preferred 4+ years of experience in IT is required 2 years experience supporting physician practices from an information technology perspective 23 years of experience of supervisory experience in a healthcare IT setting is preferred Strong project management and communication skills are required A+ Network+ and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are strongly preferred Proven experience may be substituted for certification where appropriate Skills 2+ years of experience with NextGen is highly desirable preferably technical configuration experience Experienced at developing clinical interface requirements and overseeing implementation is a plus Aside from end user hardware support expertise in one of the following areas is highly desirable Networking ServerSystems Administrations Cerner PACs or Lab Systems We hope you will consider joining our team
