The Finance Director will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the financial planning process for the Private Label Solutions (PLS) Channel; overseeing the originations forecast process for the entire organization; providing insight and guidance into the development of long-term and strategic business plans; tracking, analyzing and reporting results and trends that will enhance the division’s productivity and profitability.
•Develop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of the PLS Channel.
•Routinely communicate business unit financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications.
•Participate as a key thought leader of the finance team, influencing decision making, identifying finance priorities, managing directly and indirectly - finance staff.
•Lead scenario modeling efforts to assess the financial impact from business changes.
•Directs and oversees the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process for the PLS Channel and companywide volume originations.
•Works with business unit owners to define Key Performance Indicators used to measure overall operational and sales performance.
•Reviews financial and operational data on historical and future trends in performance; develops reports and provides advice & counsel to management for development of appropriate actions.
•Support finance leader in providing valuation/pricing modeling for new business development and acquisitions.
•Develop and maintain segment and client level profitability metrics and financials.
•Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc management reports as needed.
•Directs work and ensures appropriate performance levels of all staff reporting to the position.
Other Skills and Qualifications:
•Degree in finance, economics, or accounting required; MBA preferred.
•7-10 years of finance experience with progressive responsibilities - mortgage industry experience preferred.
•Experience managing people.
•Strong analytical and modeling skills.
•Strong communication skills; capable of presenting complex financial information in an easy-to-understand format.
•Familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures of financial planning & analysis.
•Ability to stretch and manage multiple priorities.
•Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
•Hyperion, Oracle and SAP experience preferred.
•Assertive - ability to be the gatekeeper of profitability.
