Applications are being sought for an Assistant Director of Residential Life and Housing at Keene State College. This 12 month, full-time, live-on position is instrumental in the success of all Residential Education programs including specialized first-year, second-year, and upper-class experiences for approximately 2600 students in residential areas consisting of traditional residence halls, suites, and apartment complexes.
Responsibilities include: the development and execution of residential programs by providing direct supervision of 3 live-in Residence Directors and the Coordinator for the First-Year Residential Experience, a mid-level position; secondary supervision of an additional 3 Residence Directors as well as a staff of sixty-eight (68) undergraduate Resident Assistants.
Additional responsibilities include partnership with the Coordinator for the First-Year Residential Experience for selection processes and training of student and professional staff; oversight of our upper-class Living and Learning Communities, front desk attendant program, the department's sexual assault response protocol, and the creation and maintenance of all department protocols and manuals. The Assistant Director also serves on campus and division-wide committees and helps to facilitate all faculty initiatives in the residence halls.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree and minimum of three years progressive experience in residence life, student housing and/or facility management; experience supervising professional staff required.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and supervisory skills; experience with computer systems, and data base management; knowledge of counseling practices; a commitment to a team-based philosophy; proven experience developing and presenting educational programs; selecting and training staff is desired. Additionally, the College has identified desirable qualifications that support our commitment to creating and maintaining a diverse campus community including the ability to speak a second language or to bring a multicultural perspective to the campus.

Starting Salary Range: $46,060-$58,450, complemented by a generous benefits package.
