Duties And Responsibilities

& Minimum Requirements:
The Assistant Director of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC) Development is responsible for raising mid-market gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations for the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. This includes prospect management, solicitation, stewardship processes, donor/volunteer interaction, and volunteer oversight responsibilities. Fundraising goals should total approximately one half-million dollars annually. This individual is also responsible for the management of all third party events in support of the Lombardi Cancer Center. These duties include volunteer oversight and stewardship as well as managing the approval process for all third party events. The position serves as a fundraising officer in developing a prospect pool from an existing donor base. Identification, cultivation, soliciting and stewardship are required accountabilities and actions. Works with supervisor and Lombardi leadership to develop fundraising strategies for specific donors, projects and programs. Prepares proposals for LCCC funding. Bachelor’s degree. 2-3 years experience in the work environment; prefer development experience and experience working with VIP’s. Database management, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Must be highly professional, possess the unique ability to solicit donors and volunteers and serve as a team player with the ability to interact effectively and work closely with all members of Georgetown University Office of Advancement and Georgetown University Medical Center, University staff, faculty and Lombardi directors, and the social, sports, congressional and diplomatic communities.
