POSITION: Director of Performance Management – Office of Talent Management
REPORTS TO: Chief Talent Officer – Office of Talent Management
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Director of Performance Management will lead the development and quality implementation of performance evaluation systems that support the goals of continuous improvement for all employees as evidenced by high achievement for all students. The Director will work closely with academic leaders, union leadership, legal and labor advisors, and state and local leadership, guided by research and national development of performance management systems that differentiate performance and are anchored in evidence of student learning.
This position will be integral in the conversion of the Human Resources Department to the Office of Talent Management as part of the district’s reform efforts to close the achievement gap and ready Hartford students for college and the global workforce.
Intermediate Administrator Certification (092).
Understanding of best practices in human resources and labor management and extensive experience in the evaluation of teachers.
Minimum of five (5) years of successful school leadership experience including the development of performance management systems.
Knowledge of performance management tools.
Excellent time management, performance management, and leadership skills.
Excellent organizational ability, oral and written communications and interpersonal skills. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Appropriate Connecticut administrator certification required.
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary will be commensurate with experience level and education. Twelve-month work year.
