Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering.
License/Registration: PE in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Minimum 6 years with projects. Multi-disciplinary project management experience required.
Ability to manage multiple projects (technically and financially) while handling multiple tasks and deadlines is necessary.
Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
Assist project engineers and managers in providing analysis, design, and construction services for geotechnical, transportation, water resources, mining, and environmental projects. Responsibilities may include conducting analyses; conducting engineering calculations; preparing reports; preparing drawings and technical specifications; preparing material quantity calculations and cost estimates; and providing construction services, including construction oversight and other construction-support services.
Additional responsibilities may include:
manage and lead civil/geotechnical engineering investigations, analysis, design, and construction support for traditional geotechnical, water resources, and mining projects
lead, prepare, and review technical reports
lead or assist business development efforts, communicate and coordinate with clients, and prepare proposals
prepare construction documents including plans, specifications, and cost estimates
oversee, mentor, and lead multiple junior staff in technical work and project management
The candidate should be able to communicate and interact effectively and successfully with multiple URS team members and clients. The candidate shall be capable of managing multiple projects technically and financially and handling multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
