, to Coordinate the Clinical pastoral Education functions in the
. To educate and supervise qualified (meeting special standards) clergy, consecrated, and/or commissioned religious workers, seminarians, and lay pastoral care workers to deliver high quality, professional spiritual and emotional care to patients, their families, and hospital staff persons.
Certification as an ACPE Supervisor, Associate Supervisor or ACPE Supervisory Candidate. Required by ACPE and
Certification as an
Board Certified Chaplain desirable.
Master of Divinity or equivalent.
1) Supervisory and leadership skills; 2) Knowledge and utilization of professional level theology/religion, with ability to do theological/spiritual diagnoses or assessments; 3) Knowledge of and sensitivity to diversity in cultures and religions; 4) Knowledge and skill in utilizing behavioral science theories/methodologies with educational theory and methodology; 5) Writing and word processing (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel), presentation (MS PowerPoint), communication (groupie, HDS), publication (MS Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)
Educating/supervising persons in the unique and highly specialized art/practice of spiritual and emotional caregiving.
