Under general supervision, but following defined policies and procedures, operates the hospital switchboard. Answers and transfers calls from outside and within the hospital. Takes and relays messages and/ or pages hospital personnel as requested. Performs general reception duties by answering routine inquires regarding hospital operations, patient room numbers, etc, in accordance with defined policies. Must be knowledgeable with the hospital’s emergency response plan. Assists with visitor control by giving out visitor passes to all visitors. Cross-trained to handle discharges and all of the cashier functions.
Education / Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma, or GED, from a recognized accredited program.

Part-time, 40 hrs biweekly; to work first and second shift hours, including weekends.
