Alfa Lava Inc, USA is looking for Field Service Technician in Parts & Service Division.
Field Service Technician The Field Service Technician provides 24/7 on call field service labor, trouble shooting and training at customer locations on the mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of decanters, high speed separators and heat exchangers to ensure reliable operation, optimum performance and efficiency. This includes performing preventive maintenance, emergency and warranty repairs, commissioning of new equipment, system audits and process troubleshooting. Also includes managing travel costs and operating expenses associated with field service visits to ensure Alfa Laval is an efficient field service provider.
Expectations & Responsibilities:
Trouble shoots and repairs mechanical and electrical equipment on Separators, Decanters and Heat exchangers
Installs, startup and shut down equipment in accordance to company and customer safety procedure in line with OSHA requirements.
Performs trial test runs when work is completed to insure performance rates and quality meet established specifications.
Documents equipment serviced and parts used which supports the invoicing process to our customers
Advises operators and customer line mechanics/maintained personnel of operating procedures for working safely around our equipment.
Performs preventive maintained service calls on customer equipment.
Assists customer maintenance personnel with technical and procedural troubleshooting techniques.
Assists and trains customer maintainenance and supervisory personnel on how to operate our equipment and perform maintenance tasks.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities of Successful Candidate:
Minimum Associates Degree (AS) with mechanical or electrical focus or technical / vocational training in mechanical or electrical with mechanical and electrical aptitude. Or Military training with a mechanical or electrical focus.
Experience in lieu of education: Minimum of two years Military experience with mechanical or electrical focus or demonstrated work related mechanical and or electrical proficiency

Strong verbal & written skills
Ability to trouble shoot & solve technical problems and work independently
Ability to lift heavy items and perform tasks requiring physical strength (climbing, standing, equipment use).
Exposure to varrying ambient temperatures.
