AirTran Airways Customer Service/Ramp Agents deliver the Caring Customer Service that makes AirTran Airways "America's Most Successful New Airline." Customer Service/Ramp Agents greet and process passengers at the ticket counter, gate area, baggage service area, assist in operations and also safely perform ramp service duties to include loading and transfer of baggage, mail and cargo, catering, cleaning and lavatory service, and marshalling our aircraft.

Qualifications

Demonstrated customer service skills and passion for providing Caring Customer Service.

Positive disposition, professional attitude, professional appearance.

Ability to accept personal responsibility for resolving concerns.

Excellent work ethic and demonstrated ability to act with purpose and urgency.

Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship

Minimum age 18. High school diploma or G.E.D. Additional education is a plus.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Second language is a plus.

Excellent communication skills that include speaking to large groups and individual customers.

Familiarity with computers and ability to type 25 words per minute.

Ability to work any available schedule to include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors with strength and stamina to endure standing for entire shift.

Ability to lift 70 pounds or more with stamina to bend, stoop and crawl in confined spaces.

Successful completion of post-offer pre-employment DOT drug screening.

Successful completion of FBI criminal history check that reveals no felony convictions in 10 years.

Ability to provide 10 years of employment, education, unemployment history per FAR 108.33.

Valid, non-suspended driver's license.

Reliable transportation to and from the airport.
