General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for a Help Desk Technician to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nations fundamental defense services. GDAIS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to ensure GDAIS and client technologies are functioning as efficiently as possible. Help Desk Technicians provide information system solutions and technical support to GDAIS and our clients. Responsibilities include workstations, virtual desktops, junior system administration, and account management on customized applications.

Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs.
Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDAIS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures.
Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure GDAISs services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.
Ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced highly technical environment.
Act as a liason between customers and technical escalation teams such as network, software, database, and system support teams to maintain and identify problems and/or restore operational capabilities.
Assign and maintain user profiles and accounts within a virtual environment.
Perform account management functionality on customerized applications.
Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of technological systems, and the ability to further advance GDAIS technology.
The Help Desk Technician position requires a bachelors degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent and zero to two years of related experience.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is not required at time of hire; however, it is required within 4 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Experience working in a virtual environment on Windows 7 operating environments and Help Desk Ticketing System preferrably Numera TrackIt.
Mastery of skills within these areas:
Hands on experience within Active Directory managing user accounts
Installation, Deployment, and Troubleshooting HP printers and plotters
Patching Microsoft and Third Party Applications on workstations
Mitigating Viruses on workstations
Reimaging workstations, as required
Creating and modifying user accounts within Active Directory
Adding memory and hard drives
