About the Job

As an integral member to the Key Merchant Services Sales team, perform in the role of sales support partner to the KMS Sales Advisor in an effort to acquire, expand and retain business clients who have merchant services needs. Effectively manage team portfolio growth by assisting the KMS Sales Advisor to achieve assigned goal and drive Key Merchant Services revenue.

Essential Job Functions

Provide support as required to Sales Executives and Managers in order to achieve aggressive new account acquisition and new account revenue goals

Serve as liaison with vendor card processor to assist during application submission, boarding, and POS deployment phases

Provide quality assurance in reviewing all merchant application submissions.

Ensure Sales Execs are following proper procedure in application submission, including pricing and credit policy

Provide one-call resolution with regards to sales executive inquiries on products, services, policies & procedures, new account boarding, pricing, and other general inquiries

Assist Sales Execs as liaison with other KeyBank business units

Assist in managing escalated issues with Sales Execs

Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment

Assist with merchant renewals and re-pricing

Assist managers with general new account portfolio reporting and analytics

Assist with customized reporting delivery needed for large merchant clients

Assist in managing sales lead opportunities and reporting within CED referral system, including training, lead qualification, and enabling timely progression through all stages of the sales process

Provide other sales support as necessary

Required Qualifications

2-Year or 4-Year degree preferred

1-2 years of sales and or administrative experience, banking, business, or payments industry experience a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly and creatively identify and resolve issues

Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Strong organizational & time management skills

High motivation and attention to detail

Ability to learn quickly and to work both independently and as part of a team toward the achievement of client and team goals
