Overall the position of PlayStation Network Marketing Manager will partner with the organization to create effective marketing strategies and marketing communication for PlayStation Network focusing on the PlayStation Network brand, PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, Original Programming properties, and related digital projects.

Principle Duties / Responsibilities:
Create, execute, and maintain all PlayStation Network marketing campaigns in accordance with the brand vision
Create short-term and long-term marketing plans for PSN services and products
Work with PR team to drive messaging and identify news opportunities
Conduct day-to-day activities associated with budgeting, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of PlayStation Network marketing programs and materials
Work with other platform marketing managers (PS3, PSP, Game Titles) to ensure PlayStation Network messages are included in and aligned with other PS marketing messages
Work with PlayStation Network business line heads to ensure marketing materials effectively communicate benefits to customer
Work closely with Sony Network Entertainment's Operations team to maximize SCEA's business interests and bridge relationship between digital and traditional retail channels
Work with the strategic planning and market research lead to drive focus groups, consumer research
Particular emphasis to be placed on devising educational marketing campaigns that explain the PlayStation Network value proposition to customers unfamiliar with online game services
Manage the PlayStation Network advertising agency relationship to ensure effective program execution, adherence to strategic direction, and timely program measuremen
Review and edit existing promotional materials for marketing effectiveness, cross-selling implications, and adherence to brand guidelines

Ability to lead teams to achieve products' set goals and objectives. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with privileged information, work well with others and handle a high-pressure environment. Make good, timely decisions in relatively fast-paced situations. Show respect for individuals in all situations, build effective working relationships inside and outside the work group and use the utmost professionalism with sub-ordinates, peers and executives. Must be pro-active in observing and solving routine problems effectively, as well as react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround. Must be assertive, yet pleasant and diplomatic
Ability to create product positioning, set goals and objectives with methods to measure success and failures, as well as identify and define consumer needs. Strategic thinking required for creating and implementing marketing plans and creative briefs. Must be goal-oriented and establish short and long-term targets
Strong oral and written communication skills required. Must be articulate and professional, as this position regularly interacts across a variety of functional groups. Well-written, lucid plans and briefs are essential. Clear and concise email communication is also important
Competent understanding of network marketing activities is required. Proficiency in using Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Internet applications
Solid foundation in leading network, brand and/or product marketing. Gaming knowledge a plus.
Minimum of 4 years experience in marketing network services or similar
Bachelor's degree or equlivalent
