Provides a full range of banking services to customers, focusing mainly on new accounts, small consumer loans, financial counseling and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Originates and services deposit accounts and other related retail products.
Follows the retail sales flow to sell deposit accounts and other bank services.
Counsels customers on various types of investments and how to best reach their financial objectives.
Answers questions regarding accounts, statements and other inquires.
May assist in implementing effective compliance programs.
Participates in FIB partner product sales and referrals, i.e. Credit Card, Financial Services Group, Merchant Services.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Prior banking experience and/or training preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have experience with Word and Excel. Position requires a detail-oriented, organized, self-directed and creative thinker. Requires the ability to meet and deal with the public and co‑workers in a friendly, professional manner. Good telephone etiquette. Professional grooming and adherence to FIB dress code required.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
