The PT Supervisor is responsible for evaluation and implementation of appropriate and prescribed physical therapy services to each assigned patient. The PT Supervisor provides clinical supervision to staff and students and assists the department director with budgeting, quality and performance improvement, marketing, training, hiring and competency evaluations. The PT Supervisor supervises the positions: Secretary, Staff PT, PTA and PT Technician. This position has exposure to communicable disease and body fluids. This position spends the majority of time walking and/or standing (up to 60% of work time). Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 50 lb. is also required (up to 30% of work time). This position serves a variety of age groups: pediatrics (5% of work time), adolescents (5%), adults (40%) and geriatrics (50%). Travel to offsite facilities may be required.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Licensed as Physical Therapist in the State of Arkansas, CPR

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapy and licensure to practice as a PT in the State of Arkansas. Good communication skills and supervisory skills are required as normally demonstrated by five years of experience, with progressively more responsibilities, in a clinical setting.
