This is a entry level position that will provide quality, food safety, sanitation, and field auditing support for all Pepperidge Farm manufacturing facilities; The position will work closely with Field Supply Chain, Quality, Sanitation and internal as well as external manufacturing sites to support Quality initiatives. The position will be directed by the Quality Group Manager. This position will participate by individual or team effort in various commercialization activities, including quality and sanitation assessments, and site audits. This is a hands on field support position that will include, but not limited to; conducting plant audits, sanitation audits, verifying corrective action summaries, and prevention plans; The position priorities will be determined by the Quality Group Manager, and may be located in Norwalk or the field

Principal Accountabilities

  • 50% Support plant sanitation and quality programs and initiatives - in field work - weekend and off shifts;
  • 30% Conduct QA Audits, Sanitation Audits, Depot Audits, Corrective Action Review and Systems Audits
  • 20% Communicate findings from QA and Sanitation initiatives, reports, including on-site oversight and support

  • Job Complexity
    • Data mining proficiency with related computer systems.
    • Quality and Sanitation production support, hands on troubleshooting, problem solving
    • Communicate quality and sanitation requirements across the plants (allergen, pest control, sanitation changeover).
    • Monitor multiple projects and communicate status to leadership;
    • Personifies Campbell Soup Company's Mission Statement and all aspects of the Leadership Model
    • Auditor experience

    Job Specifications
    • Minimum education required 4; education desired BS Degree in Science or Engineering Field
    • Years of relevant experience 0-3
    • Knowledge, skills and abilitis required
    • Strong computer skills
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Sharepoint
    • Sanitary Design exposure
    • Food Sanitation exposure
    • Ability to work weekends and off shifts
    • Flexiblity for frequent travel
    • Ability to work in a plant environment
    • Strong verbal and written skills
    • Organization skills, Problem Solving, Trouble shooting skills
    • Leadership skills
    • Effective presentation skills
    • Understanding of processes in plants

    Working Conditions

    50-75 % travel

    Ability to work off shifts and weekends

    Location in Norwalk or Field
