Creates group fitness programming. Designs, delivers and conducts assessment of group sessions in varied formats including strength, core, cardio, dance, water, step, boot camp, trekking, cycling, yoga, and Pilates. Responsible for group fitness personnel (40 session leaders, program assistants, and two graduate assistants), along with aspects of budget and risk management. Designs programs that encourage participants to develop and maintain active, healthy lifestyles regardless of skill, fitness, or experience levels. Trains and mentors employees so that they provide excellent programs and services for all participants.

REQUIRED: Master's degree in exercise science, recreation, sport management, or related field and two years of f
ull-time experience with structured health/fitness programming.
Experience with personnel management and in training group exercise leaders. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and proficiency with computer software, including word-processing, spreadsheets, and calendar/task management.
Preferred: American College of Sports Medicine Health Fitness Specialist and a nationally recognized group exercise certification. Experience in a higher education setting desirable.
The preferred start date is July 1, 2013. Salary range is $40,000 to 45,000.
