The Tax Planner Coordinator position will provide tax planning advice on a wide variety of tax issues affecting Chevron's businesses. The position reports to the Manager, Houston Tax Planning and Property Tax.
Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Provide tax planning advice on a wide variety of tax issues affecting Chevron's U.S. businesses.
Primary focus is on federal corporate taxation, with a significant focus on certain of Chevron's international operations.
Interfacing with company personnel in Corporate Tax, Treasury and Legal in addition to other departments
Advise management of tax implications of proposed business transactions; impacts of law changes.
Handles complex tax issues affecting international trading of crude oil and refined petroleum products.
A fundamental understanding of the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations is a necessity. Specific expertise in U.S. transfer pricing methods is a large plus.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Tax analytical experience
Tax legal research experience
A fundamental understanding of the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations
Strong knowledge of U.S.tax law
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Minimum 4 years tax experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus
Tax planning experience is a definite plus
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters. *LI-RH1
