Cargill Value Added Meats Retail is seeking a
Springdale, AR Complex (Offices in Gentry, AR)
. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the life cycle of breeder turkeys, from day off age through the end of lay and the support staff. Budget, schedule and be held accountable for cost, fertility, mortality, egg production, turnover, safety, and employee engagement.
20% - Skills and knowledge to rear breeder candidates from day 1 to 29 weeks
20% - Skills and knowledge to successfully produce high numbers of quality fertile eggs per hen at a competitive cost
20% - Skills and knowledge to successfully hatch high numbers of quality poults at a competitive cost
10% - Knowledge and understanding of Cargill accounting programs, processes and reports
10% - Knowledge and understanding of Cargill human resource programs, processes and reports and the ability to engage employees and reduce turnover.
10% - Cargill Safety and Environmental Programs and Processes
10% - Bio-Security and Animal Welfare
Bachelor's Degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, or related field
3 or more years of Turkey Breeder experience
3 or more years of Hatchery experience
Strong communication, presentation and people skills
General Microsoft computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Willingness and ability to re-locate to any of our breeder/hatchery location
Master's Degree in Poultry Science or Animal Science
3 or more years of Supervisory or Managerial experience in Turkey Breeder or Hatchery experience
Bi-lingual Skills (Spanish/English)
