This position is located in Columbia in the Unemployment Insurance Division. Incumbent will perform work by analyzing and investigating contested statewide claims for unemployment insurance and making administrative judgments concerning the eligibility for benefits in accordance with the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce law and policies. Analyzes information obtained and issues decisions based on ability, availability, reason for separation, refusal of work, failure to maintain contact, etc.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in insurance, claims examining/adjusting, or similar experience.
Knowledge of Unemployment Insurance.
