Job Summary:

Under moderate direction responds to all emergency codes and threat calls. Relays all incoming, outgoing, interoffice telephone calls using computer telephony. Pages hospital staff via an intercommunications system. Assists staff members with paging equipment. Serves as a general information person for visitors and public. Assists staff with long distance calls and requests for interpreter services.

Job Requirements:
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum 3 months customer service experience and computer experience
  • Skills & Abilities: Interpersonal skills; articulate; ability to multi-task; calm demeanor during emergency situations. General knowledge of telephone equipment and medical terminology.
