POSITION SUMMARY: The Staff Physical Therapist provides evaluation, implementation of Plan of Care, and treatment of patients with physical disabilities and pain within the scope of practice of a licensed Physical Therapist. The Staff Physical Therapist participates in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement therapeutic interventions and instructional programs pertinent to Physical Therapy. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill set to provide appropriate care to a variety of patient populations including the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
Required Job Qualifications include:
Current State of Alaska licensure as a Physical Therapist required
B.S. or M.S. in Physical Therapy required
One year of acute/rehab experience preferred
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider with the American Heart Association required
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds and exert up to 100 lbs. force occasionally.
