The primary purpose of this position is to provide supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment and parts requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage, or other items that are unique to the 747 CS mission or are seldom handled.
Conducts extensive searched for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns. Retrieves data and uses data to respond to a variety of customer program review and vendor inquiries. Provides supply for production, overhaul, repair or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling. Responds to specific case requests from offices/individuals desiring addtional identification data, verification, and/or comparison of one of a kind items or when deviations from normal supply procurement and acquisition programs are required.
Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs and projected depletion. Conducts extensive and exhaustive research of catalog databases and information to locate more cost effective available substitutes and new products. Prepared recurring and special reports. Compiles statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats. Assignments encompass a variety of problems situations and are performed with considerable independence.
Performs administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions and operating officials. Performs a wide variety of record keeping, updating manuals on policies, directives, reporting and informational duties in support of the organization's programs, functions, and projects.
Uses multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronics office automation duties requiring different approaches and methods from one assignment to another, such as using different packages to edit lengthly and complicated reports; collect, select, organize, and provide information track the status of a number of projects assigned to the organization; and resolve incompatibility problems in transferring text from one software package to another when menu options and specific software instructions are not available.

(TIG) Requirement for General Schedule (GS) Positions:
Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the GS-06 or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral.
The purpose of TIG restrictions is to prevent excessively rapid promotions in competitive service GS positions and to protect competitive principles.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

Ability to receive, screen, review, and verify supply documents and resolve discrepancies.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
