Member Duties : Act with Noah's Ark Executive Director for program development and liaison with Generating Hope Board of Directors for capacity building and strategic planning. The volunteer will prioritize actions but start with data reporting and use, grant research that includes writing, building a donor base, and community outreach that addresses internet, media, and community leadership meetings to identify agency needs/recommended solutions. Also, will develop with the Executive Director and the Board planning for community/organizational partnerships, planning and accomplishing volunteer recruitment and initiation of volunteer programs, and, with community contacts, initiate planning parameters for establishing transitional/permanent housing. Identify strengths/weaknesses of program and provide solutions. Will act in concert with overall Yakima development project as part of homeless network actions so actions/projects are coordinated efforts for economies of scale.
