ERMis seeking a motivated Staff Air Quality/Environmental Compliance Consultant to join our consulting firm in Exton, PA. The successful candidate will participate in a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of ERM’s services. ERM has a large and growing client base that includes the core industries of Oil and Gas [Upstream (Marcellus/Utica Shale) and Downstream (Refining and Terminal Operations)] and Electric Utilities. ERM also supports a range of manufacturing and chemical plant clients.ERM's Air and Climate Change practice is highly collaborative with resources and recognized expertise throughout the US and internationally.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide technical assistance on clean air act permitting EHS compliance activities.Prepare plans, permits, and reports for air quality, greenhouse gas, storm water, hazardous waste, storm water, NPDES, and wastewater programs.Conduct air quality analysis and emissions calculations, supporting development of emission inventories (Greenhouse Gas, traditional pollutants, etc.).Evaluate best available air pollution control technologies.Perform environmental compliance assessments and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Support the development of EHS compliance and management system programs.Provide general environmental compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance as needed.Perform Phase I environmental site assessments to support property transfer transactions.Perform multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage projects.REQUIREMENTS:BS in chemical/environmental engineering or related discipline, MS a plus.Recent graduate to 3 years of relevant environmental experience or professional internships.Strong analytical, problem solving skills.Experience using computer software including Microsoft Office; high proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access (or similar database systems) a strong plus.Effective written/verbal communication and organization; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.Local candidates preferred.
