Demonstrated knowledge and 4 years of hands on experience with Redhat Enterprise Linux, utilities, tools and applications including gnome and kde desktop environments.
Knowledge and demonstrated ability to create scripts to automate administration tasks.
Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes.
Demonstrated ability to develop and document internal and external procedures.
A working knowledge of networking concepts.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Experience with NetApp filers, mysql, and Twiki considered helpful
Ability to plan, organize work, manage priorities, and utilize available resources to complete quality work within defined parameters
Requires customer service skills and patience for solving technical and operational challenges
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or 4+ years related experience supporting production Linux systems in a 24/7/365 global environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with project management processes and tools such as Microsoft Project.
Familiarity with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office.
Experience with monitoring tools such as nagios and NetQoS.
Familiarity with Netapp for NFS and CIFS.
