SUMMARY: The HR Specialist- Special Projects will provide assistance in the system conversion project. Provides assistance to the HR Staff involved in the management, research, testing and implementation of the project. Will also provide HR generalist services in other areas as needed. Frequent communication outside of the work group is required to resolve disagreements, reach agreements and clarify issues/processes. Responsibility exists to ensure that internal customers are satisfied with services provided. Communication with external contacts is for providing or receiving factual information. Courtesy and tact are required in dealing with customers. Responsible for coordinating transition to SSC utilizing PeopleSoft and managing dual HRIS maintenance during the interim period.
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with Ascension Health Core Values, St. Agnes policies/ procedures and applicable civil laws. Is accountable for efficient use of resources and support of the St. Agnes mission.
Provides assistance in the dual maintenance of Meditech and PeopleSoft for the HRIS.
Performs data entry into PeopleSoft and Meditech on a regular basis to keep both systems aligned.
Participates in conference calls and all on-site meetings related to the conversion.
Provides assistance in the implementation of new procedures required for the conversion.
May be required to meet with multiple in-house staff to reach consensus on the consolidation of job descriptions, procedures and policies to align with conversion needs.
May provide training to the organization on the utilization of PeopleSoft prior to go live and post go live.
Performs routine audits as requested and identified.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration or related field.
Preferred Education: Master’s degree in human resource management, business administration or related field
Required License, Certification and/or Registration: None
Preferred License, Certification and/or Registration: Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
Required Experience: Five (5) years of human resources related experience with demonstrated HRIS Computer systems use and experience with PeopleSoft.
Preferred Experience: Ten (10) years of human resources related experience with three years experience in managing HRIS Systems and experience with PeopleSoft .
