The In-Home Medical Service Tech is a vital part of the patient care team providing friendly, caring, courteous and professional services relating to the delivery of home medical equipment to patients. The Tech provides training and education to patients and families in their homes on the proper use of medical equipment and related supplies under the direction of pharmacists, nurses, physical therapists and respiratory therapists. Valuable skills include excellent communication, organization, customer service and motor vehicle skills. Every team member is vital to Intermountain Healthcare’s success in providing exceptional patient care.
Entry Rate: $11.53
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Shift Details: Monday to Friday from 4:30pm to 9:30pm. On-call requirements and manadatory overtime may be necessary. Need to be prepared to work past scheduled off time (no more than 1.5 hours a day).
High School Diploma or GED
Requires current Utah Driver's License
Acceptable driving record to comply with the policies and procedures maintaining insurability of Intermountain Healthcare
One or more years previous customer service/relations experience
Must have excellent communication skills
Basic computer skills
Must have good organizational skills, ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Must have the ability to lift 75-90 pounds frequently
One or more years previous delivery driving experience
Previous warehouse experience
Medical terminology and health insurance terminology strongly preferred
Previous experience with Home Medical Equipment
