The Production Planning Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Production Planning function within their respective plant. These functions include; creating and maintaining a master schedule, managing the supply chain initiative and developing the plants inventory and production plan.
Manage production planning staff and scheduling of material to meet production goals and achieve on time delivery performance.
Assist with ERP data management and ERP systems improvement
Communicate and collaborate with functional departments to implement continuous process improvement
Create and maintain a master schedule that supports business forecast, including establishing lead-times.
Direct and manage WIP procurement of raw material, and inventory control.
Conduct capacity planning and provide input to production management and engineering management to identify and resolve parts issues.
Provide manufacturing cost analysis.
Report the KPI of Production and Material operation.
Analyze demand requirements and barriers to successfully achieving production goals.
Maintain production scheduling to ensure on time availability of products to fulfill customer orders and on time shipments.
Bachelor's Degree (disciplines considered, but not limited to: Operations management, Supply Chain Management and Business Management
Minimum 4 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
Minimum 4 years experience in a supervisor or manager role
Experience leading Lean (kaizen) initiatives
In depth experience with ERP systems (Implementation experience preferred)
In-depth knowledge of planning processes and tools used
Knowledgeable of finance and operations management
