Lead and direct the team responsible for design, delivery, provisioning, stability and performance of unix based systems and storage infrastructure at Macy's Systems and Technology.
Provide leadership and direction in establishing robust systems and storage administration standards required for delivery and support of optimal unix and storage infrastructure for MST.
Sound fundamentals with hands on experience on UNIX systems including Solaris, Linux, and AIX.
In depth knowledge of midrange hardware technology to deliver high performing UNIX based systems for database and application processing.
Hands on experience and well versed with enterprise storage and associated technology including provisioning, replication etc.
Reviews and maintains process and procedure documentation for successful implementation of systems and storage in compliance with audit requirements.
Guides and directs the MST system and storage team standards, initiatives, deployment of new and existing technologies.
Develops standards, policies, workflows and processes to increase efficiencies and improve overall quality of delivered solutions.
Defines standard measurements for quality and customer satisfaction requirements.
Develops and utilizes key performance indicators to measure and improve team processes and overall effectiveness and ensures support of business goals.
Manages the selection, placement, and orientation of new staff members.
Responsible for ongoing performance management, mentoring, training requirements, salary recommendations and development of staff.
Advises team members regarding administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods.
Ability to manage strong working relationships within the company.
Able to complete tasks and work cooperatively with other business units.
Ability to write and present effectively; adjusts to fit the audience and the message; strongly gets a message across.
Provide direction for continued improvement in performance and stability of unix systems and storage technologies.

At least 10 years of experience, with hands on experience in administration and management of unix based systems and storage and related technologies
Must have managed large enterprise wide implementations including advanced technological solutions like clustering, replication, high availability and DR solutions.
Must have prior experience managing a diverse team
Education - 4 year degree in related field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
