Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent, 5-7 years of quality assurance experience in a leadership role in a prevention based proactive manufacturing organization, excellent working knowledge of performance measurement and monitoring methods, experience with ISO 9000/QS 9000 quality systems, Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and audit activity, multi-cavity/multi-station injection/blow-molding experience and American Society for Quality (ASQ), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or Certified Quality Manager (CQM) certification. Profession Accreditation in Quality Engineering and Systems is strongly preferred.

Amcor Rigid Plastics is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for their Dunkirk, NY facility.

In this role you will direct the quality assurance program for the plant by performing duties relating to inspection, laboratory testing, statistical process control and salvage operations. You will implement, maintain and modify the plant's quality management system to improve business operating systems and meet the requirements of customer and best practice audits. You will also lead/assist with the corrective action of quality related problems at the plant and/or customer location and start-up of new products/processes as well as assist in troubleshooting technical problems and drive the recent Global Food Safety Initiative program compliance.
