Please note-the salary range will be pro-rated for this part-time position.

Provides assessments of the nutritional status of newly admitted eating disorder patients and ongoing individual and family nutritional counseling for the program. Provides group therapy in the form of psycho-education, experiential food activities, and cognitive behavioral therapy; may co-lead multiple-family therapy groups. Communicates effectively with the multi-disciplinary treatment team. Demonstrates an understanding of the developmental needs of children, adolescents, and adult patients. Maintains documentation according to program requirements and SPHS standards. Participates in individualized treatment planning for assigned patients.

1) Work requires a Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.

2) Position requires status of Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics at time of appointment and throughout time in position. State licensure is required within six months in the position, and must be maintained throughout time in position.

3) Work requires a minimum of six months of dietitian experience.

4) Work requires effective interpersonal communication skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients to educate and affect change, and with patients’ families, staff and visitors, and to handle confidential information (51 – 80% of work time).

Hours for this position are Mon-Fri 9am-5pm and one Saturday shift every 6 weeks.
