Masters degree in History or closely related field and expertise in the course content area. Minimum of two years teaching is helpful. Excellent Written communication skills and basic computer literacy required.
Academic preparation and teaching experience in all levels of History practice and education. Experience working with culturally diverse students. Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning and have excellent analytical, interpersonal, and oral communications skills. Be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of truth, compassion, fairness, responsibility and respect.
The adjunct instructor will teach either HIS-103, HIS-104, HIS -105 or HIS-106, (Western Civilization and American History) to a diverse student population. These courses will be offered during the day and evening. The responsibilities and duties of the instructor may change as the needs of the college arise.
