SRI International is looking for Configuration Manager to support a large contract in the APG area in support of the US Army Communications Electronic Command (CECOM). Candidate will serve as a Configuration Manager for a technical program for the US Army CECOM supporting Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Electronic Warfare (CREW) AN/VLQ-12(V)3 “Duke V3” sustainment team. We are looking for an experienced Configuration Manager to provide configuration management support for the CREW system software baseline and all associated products. The ideal candidate should be a quick, resourceful learner with strong analytical and problem solving skills, and who is able to work independently in support of on-going projects managed from the Avionics, Countermeasures and Sensors Division and the SEC ARAT-Program Office, reporting directly to the CREW team.
Tasks performed may include, but are not limited to:
--Tracking system, software, and firmware baseline products and documentation through the software development life cycle
--Tracking the status of all Change Requests (CR) and Problem Reports (PR), and reporting this status regularly to SEC leadership, the CREW program manager, and other stakeholders, including theater commanders and personnel
--Attending manufacturer Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings to ensure that proper CM practices are followed
--Maintaining and updating records of all Configuration Items (CIs)
--Facilitating CCB meetings among the US Government team
--Developing meeting minutes, tracking and executing action items through completion
--Preparing CR and PR packages for team review and adjudication
--Performing system administration and data entry on an automated CM tool suite (Serena)
--Represent CM in Technical Working Groups, Integrated Project Team meetings, and other working group sessions
--Perform software-level Physical and Functional Configuration Audits
--Develop artifacts and execute processes required to achieve and maintain Capabilities Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 compliance and compliance with SEC Quality Assurance procedures.
Previous experience working with and/or supporting DoD and Department of Army systems such as Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) systems, Software and Systems Lifecycle Management, and Post Production Software Support/Post Deployment Software Support (PPSS/PDSS) preferred.
--Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or related technical field is preferred; additional work experience can be substituted for a degree
--3+ years experience in the Configuration Management field, or an additional 8 years of experience is required without a degree
--Must be a US citizen and possess a current SECRET Security clearance with the ability to obtain to a TS/SCI security clearance. A current TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
--Working knowledge and understanding of MIL-STD-61A
--Proven experience and knowledge processing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Deviations, Problem Reports and Change Requests
--Proven experience in a CMMI Level 3 or higher organization required. Prior experience implementing CMMI processes and artifacts within existing processes strongly desired.
--Must be able to travel to CONUS locations to participate in CM working groups; travel is estimated at less than 25%
--Strong Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
--Excellent written and spoken communication skills, good interpersonal skills
--Ability to follow security rules
