q Graduate of an accredited nursing program
q BSN preferred, current Arkansas License
q Five years experience as a nurse, preferably in bariatrics
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties or task may be requested or assigned by immediate supervisor, his/her designee, or other management/supervisor.
q Plans, coordinates, schedules and implements care of the bariatric patient throughout all phases of obesity treatment.
q Patient Education and teaching and organizing support group meetings.
q Collaborates with the department director and others in the multidisciplinary team.
q Schedules and conducts follow-up visits with the patient in the hospital to assess hospital care and patient post-op status.
q Collaborate with and serve as a resource to the bariatric physicians
q Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
q May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
q Train and educate hospital staff regarding care of the bariatric patient.
