In support of data-related responsibilities, generates detailed documentation of work produced and educates co-workers and management on data related activities and enhancements.
Assumes an ownership role in project documentation (i.e., business and/or functional requirements) for large scale projects.
Consistently documents and maintains data issue research, findings and resolution information.
Continually enhances end-user documentation, including business rules, source-to-target mappings and instructional materials.
Maintains documentation on subcontractor file layouts and field definition documents.
Develops and delivers training through webinars, group and individual meetings on a corporate-wide basis.
Creates advanced training materials and documentation.
Superior working knowledge of the health care industry and Medicaid managed care while keeping abreast of industry changes impacting reporting.
Demonstrates strong working knowledge of the available data sets, sources (e.g., claims data, subcontractor claims data, members, providers) and the data differences for each AMFC business entity
Demonstrates a solid understanding of relational databases and the impact each data modification or database change has on internal data repositories
Develops a strong understanding of the rule logic built within the DI System and the downstream impact to the data when such rules are applied
Demonstrates a basic understanding of Data Governance concepts.
Maintains a thorough understanding of the data “owners” and stakeholders throughout the AMFC.
Serves as a “data steward” by: defining data procedures, standards and guidelines; promoting a standard use of data fields and their definitions; serving as a primary contact for data issues; and identifying opportunities for data improvement.
Supports 3-5 complex projects concurrently at any given time with an ability to quickly adapt to deviation from pre-planned course of action.
Produces short term requests in addition to project work while demonstrating excellent planning, priority setting and execution of tasks.
Interacts with customers with little or no guidance by Manager – typically via e-mail or phone, but occasionally in person.
Maintains a strong working relationship with data users and IT/technology resources.
Adheres to departmental policies for tracking issues, work requests and projects.
Works independently with peers, managers and senior management on problems/issues that could have financial or organizational impact.
