Responsibilities

This is a Java developer in our Prepaid IT applications team.

Develop (code) application components using Java, J2EE, SPRING, HTML, Web Services, JMS, JDBC

Analyze and understand the approach and scope documents created by Sr. Technical members of the team

Create technical design documents for low to medium level complexity (web services, interfaces)

Develop technical artifacts for individual components of low to medium complexity like XML, and Class Diagrams etc.

Develop Unit test plans and perform unit testing of components developed

Conduct Code review walk through of components developed

Participate in code reviews of other team members.

Participate and understand the strategic vision of the application and ensure that development is done in line with the vision.

Provide application support (fix identified defects) for QA/UAT

Provide tier 2 support for any production issues.

Qualifications

3 - 4 years experience in web application design and development
  • Java J2EE, JDK
1.6, JSP/Servlets, WAS

7.x, XML
  • Design Patterns: Front Controller, Business Delegate, VO, DAO, MVC
  • Framework: Spring
  • UI Technologies: CSS, JavaScript, AJAx, xHTML
  • Database: Oracle 11g
  • Operating system Unix and Linux
  • IBM Datapower
  • PL/SQL queries and procedures
