The Sr. Manager of E-Commerce Development and Architecture manages all development activities within the E-Commerce teams. The manager will assist in setting the E-Commerce technical vision and architecture to support business growth. The manager will lay the foundation for E-Commerce development, principles, and standards that will guide the design and execution of all E-Commerce sites. The PM will support IT Senior Leadership Team, in the successful operation of the E-Commerce group. The Manager of E-Commerce Development will be directly responsible for developing and maintaining the E-Commerce architecture and associated technology roadmap.
Reports to: Director of eCommerce- ITS
Leads implementation efforts; Lead internal development team and external vendors in the E-Commerce SDLC - Define, Design, Implement and Execute. Recommend/develop technical solutions to business and/or system issues; Designing an architecture that accounts for scalability, performance and data integrity.
Provides strategic E-Commerce technology research, architectural and consulting support to ITS and the various business functions. Advise on options, risks, cost/benefit analysis, architecture and technology issues, integration issues, and impact on other business processes, technology solutions, and system priorities.
Provides ongoing evaluation of existing technology solutions & capabilities and determine alignment with business objectives and identifies areas of opportunity to improve alignment and ensure ITS quality.
Key participant in establishing technology standards and SDLC methodology to ensure efficient delivery of new functionality. Defines the key touch-points and ensure alignment with departmental methodologies (PMLC, SDLC, ITIL, etc.) to attain ITS performance and delivery objectives. Serves as a thought leader and arbiter of E-Commerce architecture decisions.
Forecast needs and skills requirements for E-Commerce resources based on project priorities. Grow a new team through Interviewing, selecting, developing, mentoring, coaching. Evaluate performance of extended E-Commerce Development staff resulting in the development and career progression within the ITS organization.
