As an Ethics Specialist in the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Administration (ODASA), Immediate Office, you will help ensure that all ACF employees are properly trained on the ethics rules, screened for financial conflicts of interest, resolve any conflicting holdings or outside activities, and adhere closely to all ethics regulations and policies.

DUTIES:
Supports the planning, development and implementation of ACF ethics training.
Assists in the resolution of conflicts of interest and/or potential violations of ethics related regulations.
Supports public and confidential financial disclosures.
Reports findings and recommendations to the ACF Ethics Officer.
Researches, interprets, and applies regulations and statutes governing conduct, such as Ethics in Government Act, Hatch Act, Procurement Integrity Act, Federal Election Campaign Act, Foreign Gifts and Decorations Act, and other related statutes and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: GS-09: At least one full year of specialized experience(equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher in the Federal service) assisting in researching, interpreting, collecting and analyzing ethics and/or legal data, examples may include financial disclosure, recusals, gifts and gift exceptions, or procurement integrity; assessing the effectiveness of program operations; and assisting in presenting and/or advising on resolutions to conflicts or potential violations of ethics; OR at least two full years (36 semester hours or the equivalent) of progressively higher graduate level education leading toward a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree with major study in a field that demonstrates that you have the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work; OR an equivalent combination of the required specialized experience and education listed in the statements above. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.

Time-in-Grade : Career or career-conditional current and former Federal employees who select to apply under merit promotion procedures must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade level of this position.
